As Greenwich Foodbank continues to evolve, we are pleased to share an important update about the next stage of our organisational development.
Over the past six months, we have been reflecting on how we can best meet the changing needs of our community. This period of learning has strengthened our commitment to our values as we have listened to the voices of people with lived experience of food insecurity, and built stronger partnerships across the borough.
As part of this next phase, we are introducing a new co-leadership structure, with Josh Rogers and Rosie Oakley serving as Greenwich Foodbank Co-Leads. Together, they will provide shared strategic leadership while bringing complementary areas of focus to the organisation.
Josh will lead on internal operations, supporting our staff, volunteers and organisational development, while Rosie will lead our external work, including partnerships, strategic development and advocacy. Working together, this model reflects our commitment to collaborative leadership, shared accountability and delivering greater impact for our community.
Our ambition is not simply to respond to food insecurity. We are working towards a future where people can access the advice, income and support they need before reaching crisis, while ensuring that anyone who does need our support is treated with dignity, compassion and respect.
Partnership working will be central to achieving this vision. We know that no single organisation can address food insecurity alone, and we are committed to working alongside local organisations, statutory services, community groups and people with lived experience, as well as our generous donors and corporate supporters, to develop more joined-up, sustainable responses across Greenwich.
As part of this work, we will continue to champion the voices of people experiencing food insecurity, ensuring their experiences shape both our services and wider conversations about the changes needed to reduce poverty and hardship across our borough.
We are excited to begin this next chapter and look forward to continuing to work with you. Together, we believe we can build stronger partnerships, create more sustainable responses to food insecurity and ensure the voices of our community remain at the heart of everything we do.
