During the current emergency Greenwich Foodbank has suspended all of our client centres. We have introduced a delivery system which will take food to the client’s doorstep. We have also introduced a new referral system to all of the agencies that normally make referrals. We expect to deliver one or two days after the referral is received.
Also, the Council has launched a major new initiative to support residents through a new Community Hub that will link thousands of volunteers with opportunities to help people who are most in need of support.
If you need help because you are vulnerable and self-isolating, and have not got a family member, friend or neighbour who can help, volunteers could provide support with:
- collecting / delivering prescriptions
- delivering essential food packages
- connecting you to local community services.
