Our call for strong carrier bags was answered this week by local motivational speaker and Paralympic Wheelchair Rugby Legend, Andy Barrow. He joined us in tackling food poverty by donating a large quantity of bags that are absolutely vital for every single food parcel we provide
Andy told us “my donation was a tiny act compared to the amazing work that the team at Greenwich Foodbank does day in, day out. There has never been a more important time than now to ensure that everyone has enough to eat, so a huge thank you to everyone playing their part.
During lockdown, I’ve been focussing on the work I do with train operating company, Southeastern, to ensure our service is accessible to all. I’ve also been making sure that I get out to exercise regularly in the local park as it’s great for my mental health as well as being a good workout!”
